About this Book:

This little book is an invitation to experience the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The book was inspired by Isaac Holden who was born into a poor lead mining family near Alston, England's highest town. Isaac became a tea dealer and a Methodist Minister. The book follows his life and, gives details of a 36 mile walk which Isaac would have taken on his tea deliveries. The walk provides an inspiration for nature loves, poets, artists and those seeking contemplation in an unspoilt and historic area of the North Pennines.
