Born in Bradford and raised in the North of England, Fiona first started walking seriously when she took part in Ten Tors training in her first teaching post in Torpoint, Cornwall. Graduating to special needs in 1992 she continued to take children onto the Lakeland fells to which she herself has always turned for relaxation and therapy.
