Martin Daley was born in Carlisle and lived much of his childhood at Botcherby, attending St Cuthbert’s School. He spent seventeen years working for the Post Office, which included a ten year period living and working in Cheshire.
He published his first book in 2000. Anonymous Heroes is his fifth book and is the second in a series linking his interests in local and family history, with the wider social, political and military history that most people are familiar with.
The author currently works for the Local Authority and is a governor at his former school, St Cuthbert’s. He lives with his wife Wendy, near Carlisle.
