A Memoir of Colin Barnett
About the Book:
IN the 1970s Colin Barnett was the left-wing Divisional Officer for NUPE in the north west. He became embroiled in major strikes and battles with successive governments that brought public services to a grinding halt. Indeed, Barbara Castle held him personally responsible for defeat of the Labour Government in 1979. Limping and Waddling to the Revolutiontraces his life and career and examines his role in expanding the influence of NUPE.
